Richmond Town Hall

Welcome to the Richmond War Memorial Hall otherwise known as The Richmond Town Hall or RTH for short. Opened in 1922 as a memorial to those who lost their lives in World War One and with various additions/modifications over the years, the Richmond War Memorial Hall has served as a YMCA, Richmond Borough Council Chambers, Ladies rest room, Billiard’s venue, Picture theatre, Car rental business and Dance Hall.

With a colourful past that honours those who fought for our freedom, this busy community hub is managed by Sport Tasman on behalf of the Tasman District Council. It provides a haven of support and a vital resource for our local community.

Located at 9 Cambridge Street, Richmond, just off Queen and Oxford Streets you will find two entrances into this quirky and well-loved building. Upon entry you will, instantly feel the welcoming, friendly vibe that is RTH.

Primarily a community hub, The Richmond Town Hall also offers an array of rental and hire spaces that cater to diverse needs, making it an ideal choice for both private events and community gatherings.
